ABUCCIMA to Build 7-Star Hotel

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ABUCCIMA) has announced plans to build a seven-star hotel and a modern shopping mall in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

President of ABUCCIMA, Mr Solomon Nyagba, made this known at a press conference in Abuja yesterday. He said that the projects would be the biggest of its kinds in Abuja.

Mr Nyagba added that ABUCCIMA will also build a convention centre and a world-class trade exhibition centre in FCT. The projects, he said, will be sited within the 31-hectare Jeremiah Useni International Trade Fair Complex on Airport Road.

He said that when completed the complex would not only become a hub of economic activities but also create employment opportunities for many.

“Due to the strategic location of this complex, we are hoping that when we finish the projects,” he said, “it will shift focus from the city centre which is becoming choked with economic activities.”

He therefore called for partnership from the public sector, particularly the FCT Administration, for the realisation of the projects.
