Muslim Pilgrims in FCT to Begin Screening Tomorrow

The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has said that medical screening for intending pilgrims for the 2014 hajj from the territory will commence tomorrow2 August.
This was contained in a statement from the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Mr Muhammad Aliyu. It said all intending pilgrims must be screened at the permanent hajj camp at Bassan Jiwa, Abuja, before embarking on hajj.
It added that intending pilgrims from Abaji and Kwali Area councils will begin the exercise on Saturday, while those from Kuje and Abuja Municipal Area councils would be screened on Sunday.

The statement further stated that intending pilgrims from Bwari and Gwagwalada Area Councils would have their screening on Monday. Meanwhile those registered at the headquarters will be screened on Tuesday.
The screening exercise, it said, was in line with the directives by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to screen potential pilgrims and attain their medical records before the journey.
