The
Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command yesterday in Abuja
decorated 1,487 newly promoted officers with their new ranks.
In
the exercise, 11 Superintendents were promoted to Chief Superintendent,
16 Deputy Superintendents were promoted to Superintendent, while 30
Assistant Superintendents were promoted to Deputy Superintendent.
In
addition, 200 Inspectors were moved up to the rank of Assistant
Superintendent, 226 Sergeants to Inspectors, 613 Corporals to Sergeant,
and 391 Constables to Corporal.
The
Commissioner of Police for the FCT, Mr Joseph Mbu, said the exercise
