NNPC Increases FCT’s Fuel Allocation

In a bid to curb the lingering fuel scarcity in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has increased the supply of the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), to the territory from 100 to 150 trucks per day.

This was revealed in a statement yesterday by the Acting Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the NNPC, Dr Omar Ibrahim, who said that the action was taken to reduce the noticeable queues in fuel stations.

The statement further revealed that the GMD of the corporation, Mr Andrew Yakubu, led a team of its top management over the weekend on inspection of filling stations across the FCT.

The team visited no fewer than 12 stations across Garki, Asokoro, Maitama as well as Central Business District in Abuja.

The GMD, in the statement, promised to visit other stations in the FCT in the coming days.
