The
Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has concluded plans to
provide a $10m fund for a solar-powered plant that would provide
electricity for the treatment of water at the Lower Usuma Dam in Bwari
area council of the Federal Capital territory (FCT).
The
technical agreement for the project was signed by the representatives
of the Ministry of Power, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry
of Environment, the FCT Administration, and the JICA.

during the signing ceremony, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of
Power Godknows Igali noted that the project was very important as it

available to the people in the area.
In
a statement, the Country Representative of JICA, Seki Tetsuo, assured
Nigeria that the grant-in-aid given by the government of Japan would be
judiciously utilised for the project. He added that the most important
