APC Appoint Interim FCT Executive Council

The FCT Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the weekend inaugurated an Interim Executive Council for the six area councils of the territory.

Performing the ceremony in Gwagwalada Area Council, APC Interim Chairman for FCT, Senator Sidi Ali directed the new executives to immediately begin the inauguration of similar interim executive councils at the ward and polling centre levels. He promised that by the end of March the party would elect permanent officials at its convention.

The inauguration of the interim executives, he said, was to avoid vacuum in the leadership and administration of the party at the local government levels.

Senator Ali further stated that the registration of card carrying members of the party would commence on Monday.

 

He therefore urged the newly inaugurated executives to perfect all arrangements for the registration exercise and ensure its success.
