President
Goodluck Jonathan had his first meeting with the newly-appointed
service chiefs yesterday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Those
reportedly present at the meeting, which lasted five hours, included
the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshall Alex Badeh, Chief of Army
Staff, Major General Kenneth Minimah, Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice
Marshall Adesola Amosu and Rear Admiral Usman Jibrin, who is the Chief
of Naval Staff.
The
Inspector General of Police, Abubakar Mohammed, the Secretary to the
Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim and the National Security
Adviser, Sambo Dasuki were also there.
Boko Haram was reportedly one of the major topics of discussion for the group, who were appointed in January.
The new service chiefs would be decorated before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting tomorrow.
