The Abuja Chambers of Commerce,
Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ABUCCIMA) has said that plans are underway
for a trade fair to mark the country’s centenary anniversary.
The Director-General of ABUCCIMA, Joe
Wenegieme, whilst speaking to news men in Abuja recently, said that the fair is
aimed at showcasing the achievements of the country’s industrial sector in the
past one hundred years.
“This is a made-in-Nigeria trade fair
where we want the world to really see what we have been able to do for
ourselves since these 100 years of our existence,” he said.
Mr Wenegieme noted that participation
was expected from all states of the federation, universities, and research
institutions. He added that some North and West African countries have also
indicated interest to participate in the fair.
The fair will take place at the
International Trade Fair Complex in Abuja from March 20 to April 2.
