FCT Minister Commends Baze University

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Sen. Bala Mohammed, applauded the management of Baze University, a private university in Abuja, for the academic excellence attained in its short period of its existence.
The minister gave the commendation recently while at the institution to commission the new hostels, and also expressed delight at the developments at the university.
"The authorities have indeed surpassed my expectations,” he said.
Baze University recently completed two blocks of 720 bed-space hostels, to add to the 500-bed hostels already available, giving a total of over 1200 bed spaces.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Michael Hodd, thanked the minister for his continued support and noted the large increase in the population of its students, from 17 students when it opened in 2011 to over 1, 000 students in 2013.
