The
just promoted Nigeria National League (NNL) club, the Supreme Court
Football Club of Abuja, have signed 25 players in time for the start of
the 2014 league season.
The club’s General Manager, Mr. Tolu Oguntimehin told journalists in Abuja on Monday that 11 were rookies added to the 14 players that were part of team last year, and all have been in camp preparing for matches.
“We
started our pre-season from January 6th but we are now taking it higher
as the start of the season draws closer. Our focus is to get into the
Premier League at the end of the season," he said.
The
team will play Premier League club Nasarawa United in a pre-season
friendly today at the Lafia Stadium, a game Mr. Oguntimehin believes
will test his team’s capabilities ahead of their NNL opener.
Supreme Court FC will then travel to Minna to face Niger Tornadoes on Saturday, 25th of January.
