Art Exhibition Coming to Abuja

An art exhibition featuring works by emerging artists in Abuja will hold on Thursday 23 January at the Achara Fusion Theatre in Abuja.

Called The Artist and His Medium, it will be a multi-genre art exhibition curated by Bill Uko and will also showcase works by French photographer and architect Ferrante Ferranti and Canada’s famous Group of Seven.

Bill Uko – an artist and creative entrepreneur – is the Creative Director of Alchara Fusion Theatre, an art company dedicated to showcasing artists through collaborations artists and various organizations.

“Art already abounds in Abuja,” he says, “but with more platforms for artist-audience engagement, the artists try harder and create better work that gives the audience confidence and sales go up.”

Bill Uko works with the National Gallery of Art and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers in Abuja, and Achara Fusion Theatre, located at Bamboo House, 3 Salt Lake Street, Maitama, features plays and art galleries and other artistic installations.
