Abuja Master Plan: AMMC Cautions Estate Developers

The Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC) has called on real estate developers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to conduct their activities in line with the Abuja Master Plan.
The Coordinator of AMMC, Mr. Reuben Okoya, made the call in Abuja recently when executives of the Real Estate Development Association of Nigeria (REDAN), paid him a courtesy visit.
He lamented the activities of some estate developers in the territory who engage in illegal acts of developing without obtaining genuine permits and approvals from the relevant agencies and departments of the FCT Administration.
Okoya said that the council will not relent in carrying out its regulatory duties and will henceforth charge owners of demolished properties of the cost of removing such illegal structures as tax payers’ money will not be used on those that chose to flout the laws of the territory.
